Fonio is easy to grow, but it is hard to turn into food. Each tiny seed comes off the plant covered by an inedible husk.

Removing the husk and cleaning the fonio is challenging, to say the least.

We are building aggregation/pre-processing centers across the West African Sahel to manage and provide support to thousands of smallholders. These centers also serve as small business support hubs to provide tools, equipment, training, and services to the farming communities at the foundation of our operation.

 

We are staffing the ag business centers with agronomists and field agents with software to facilitate traceability, track quality, and conduct financial transactions.
